Kristen Sheldon grew up locally in Kingwood, Texas. She obtained her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Baylor University. Upon graduation, she worked as an ICU nurse and research nurse at Women’s Hospital of Texas, Memorial Hermann, Ben Taub, and MD Anderson Cancer Center. With a desire to work in family practice, she obtained her Masters in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner from Texas Woman’s University. In 2018, she graduated with her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Johns Hopkins University, focusing on disease improvement with obesity management and cognitive behavioral therapy.  She has served the Kingwood/Humble community as a nurse practitioner since 2014, working in family practice, aesthetics, and interventional pain management.

In addition to her clinical practice, Kristen also has a passion for education. She has served as Dean of Nursing, helped create and manage nurse practitioner programs across the United States. She is currently a visiting professor for Chamberlain University, where she helps train the next generation of Nurse Practitioners.

When she is not working with patients or teaching, Kristen loves to travel with her husband and two children. She serves as a girl scout troop leader, NWAL official, and teaches children’s Bible study her church.
